How do I navigate the TWA app and why do I need to use it?

A parent or guardian first needs to create an account for you and your kid(s) through TeamUp. Next, download the TWA app and login. Our app has club news, class booking, memberships, team store, chat, and more features. Please register for class ahead of time!

Will you train in the offseason?

Yes, we continue in the offseason and will transition to freestyle. If kids have upcoming folkstyle competitions, we will prepare them for those. This summer, we plan to incorporate strength and conditioning workouts and we’re looking into offering camps towards the end of summer.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, we offer a 2-week free trial for use at any of our practices! Athlete must adhere to our group guidelines for age and skill restrictions listed in Memberships.

What should my child bring for their first practice?

Practices get hot and sweaty. Our recommendation is to wear athletic shorts, t-shirt, wrestling shoes, and a wrestling headgear. You can purchase wrestling shoes and headgear nearby at Dick’s Sporting Goods or online. Bring a water bottle as well!

Do you offer merchandise?

We have t-shirts, singlets, beanies, water bottles, body wipes, and stickers for sale in the Store page and on our app. We’ve collaborated with Rudis for custom gear and will continue to work with them and a local company for gear drops in the future. Purchase must be made through our app.

Where are practices located?

1050 Classic Road, Apex NC 27539. You can find us on your iPhone map apps by searching “Triangle Wrestling Academy”. Please use the rear loading dock entrance door on the far left next to the garage and park up front.

Do you offer coaching for all age groups?

We offer training for boys and girls grades K-12 separated into developmental, intermediate, and elite groups including a girls-only option. Find the group details under Membership

Are girls welcome to join the club?

Yes! Girls are welcome to join. We have a Girls Only practice option open to all ages and experience that is lead by Coach Paige! It’s a great idea to coordinate with other girls to attend the same practices outside of the Girls Only practice.

What insurance policy covers my child?

There’s General Liability insurance provided through USA Wrestling. Members must have an active USA Wrestling membership and confirm their card number with coaches. Learn more about the coverage here.
